CenSec and Nordic Innovators invite you to a practical webinar on how companies can identify and access relevant EU funding routes across defence, security, space and dual-use innovation.
The session will be led by Iain Stathma, Security & Defence Sector Lead at Nordic Innovators, and will focus on helping companies navigate the widening range of strategic non-dilutive funding opportunities available beyond the EDF scheme.
As the European funding landscape becomes broader and more complex, the aim of this session is to give participants a clearer overview of the different routes available for innovative projects that can strengthen Europe’s resilience, preparedness, and industrial capabilities across critical security, defence, and dual-use sectors.
The format will be interactive, with approximately 40 minutes of presentation followed by 20 minutes for Q&A. Participants are very welcome to share questions in advance, so we can make the discussion as relevant and practical as possible.

In the session, we will cover:
• why companies should think in terms of funding pathways rather than a single programme
• the key questions that help determine the right route
• a practical overview of funding opportunities including EDF, EUDIS, EDIP, SAFE, NATO DIANA, NATO Innovation Fund, Horizon Europe, DIGITAL Europe, EIC, Eurostars, and related routes
• how to assess TRL and maturity fit
• typical pathways for different types of companies and organisations
• a go/no-go checklist to avoid common mistakes
Participants are also invited to review a comprehensive guide to EU funding opportunities for security, defence, and dual-use innovation projects, prepared to complement the webinar and support further discussion during the session.
