How do we translate growing knowledge about the gut microbiome into food solutions that make a measurable difference?
The gut microbiome is increasingly recognised as a key factor in human health, influencing everything from digestion and metabolism to immune function. At the same time, it is becoming clear that food plays a central role in shaping the composition and activity of the our gut’s microbiome. This creates new opportunities, but also raises important questions about how food can support a healthy microbiome, and which ingredients and processes truly make a difference.
It is within this intersection of between food and , health and science that the Food for Healthy Microbiome Network operates.
Where food and health converge
The network brings together companies, researchers, public actors and investors working with the microbiome and its relationship to food.
It provides a professional platform for sharing knowledge, exploring emerging insights and discussing how these can be translated into practical solutions.
The ambition is to bridge disciplines, connecting food production, life science research and innovation in order to better understand and utilise the microbiome as part of future food systems.

Who is the network for?
The network is relevant for companies, researchers, public organisations and investors working at the intersection of food and health, particularly those exploring the microbiome’s role in product development, nutrition and innovation.
The network meets four times a year at companies and organisations working with food and microbiome solutions, while ongoing dialogue continues between meetings.
The network is exclusively for members of Food & Bio Cluster Denmark.
As a participant, you become part of a professional environment where knowledge is shared openly, challenges are discussed with peers, and relationships potentially develop into collaborations over time. It is a space to contribute your own experience, gain new insights, and create value through exchange with others.

I Food & Bio Cluster Denmark samler vi mennesker fra virksomheder, forskning og organisationer i faglige netværkværksgrupper med ét fælles mål: at skabe innovation, der kan bidrage til en fødevaresektor med netto-nul udledning.
Med fokus på specifikke faglige temaer skaber netværkene et rum for at dele ny viden, fremme dialog og facilitere matchmaking blandt medlemmer, så fælles muligheder kan identificeres og de første skridt mod nye samarbejder kan tages.
Sammen skaber vi grobund for grøn innovation
Mere samarbejde er en forudsætning for at accelerere den grønne omstilling. Vejen mod netto-nul udledning af drivhusgasser inden 2050 kræver løsninger, der både reducerer udledninger og ændrer den måde, ressourcer udnyttes på.
