Netværk: Biomanufacturing Network

A network to drive bold, sustainable breakthroughs in biomanufacturing Network groups in Food & Bio Cluster Denmark are only for members

Indhold er hentet

To sustainably feed 9 billion people by 2050, today’s food system must evolve. The future demands that we waste less and produce more with limited bioresources. By continuously disrupting, developing, and refining biomanufacturing, we can unlock the full potential of microbes, enzymes, and functional proteins. Through science and technology, we have the opportunity to drive healthier lives - and a healthier planet.

Join the Biomanufacturing Network

If you are a professional working within the biomanufacturing industry and want to gain inspiration, connect with new partners, share expertise, and help drive innovative solutions, this network is for you.

The purpose of the Biomanufacturing Network is to stay up to date and discuss possibilities and hurdles for innovative technologies within the space of biomanufacturing – both upstream and downstream.

A special attention will be given to scaling aspects of the technologies discussed.

The network will cover a broad variety of technologies within biorefining and fermentation, both upstream and downstream including related technologies e.g. related monitoring, optimizing and cleaning technologies.

Who is the network relevant for?

In this network, we welcome all professionals working within the biomanufacturing industry e.g.:

  • Large biosolutions companies with experience and interest in biomanufacturing optimization
  • SMEs and entrepreneurs working to develop new products via bio-production
  • Universities and RTOs
  • CMOs
  • Equipment and technology manufacturers
  • Funding bodies
  • Industry associations
  • Ministries and government agencies with interest in advancing biosolutions/biomanufacturing

Biomanufacturing vs biosolutions

At Food & Bio Cluster Denmark, we often use both the terms ‘biosolutions’ and ‘biomanufacturing’.

How we distinguish between them:

The term 'biosolutions' is defined as a business and research area based on understanding and utilising biological systems, e.g. living microorganisms, resting cells, animal cells, plant cells, tissues, enzymes, or in vitro synthetic (enzymatic) systems.

The term ‘biomanufacturing’ covers the type of manufacturing that utilizes biological systems to produce commercially at an industrial scale for use in e.g. the agricultural, food, material and energy industries.

All meetings will be held in English.
